What support will I receive?
If selected, Pro bono services includes drafting and filing patent applications, filing divisional applications, amendments, conversions, withdrawal, requests for substantive examination and publication, other correspondence with, and prosecution before, the patent office. Please note that litigation and commercialization services are outside of the scope of the IAP.
Will I have to pay anything?
The volunteer provides professional services at no cost to beneficiary inventors. The official costs associated with a patent application and any out-of-pocket costs necessary to complete your application remain your responsibility. The volunteer should explain to you these costs in advance.
